Steinbeck's classic has been recast so that George and Lennie are now Mexican farmworkers. Unfortunately, director Paul Lazarus hasn't fully thought through the historical change. Beyond some Spanish substitutions, the play hasn't really been altered, and the result is competently acted though half-baked (C.M.).

Schedule notes: No performace May 21. On May 28, the performance will take place at 2 p.m. (all other Wednesday performances are at 8 p.m.).
