Cash only. The décor is more rec room than an American's fantasy of British pub and though the barman's friendly, everyone seems to be regulars, even perhaps the pink-cheeked teens picking up to-go orders for the folks at the home. The food's home-style, a bit uneven, but satisfying. Chicken curry has chunks of white meat and a medium spicy sauce on long grain rice; house-made pies are soggy but great house-made chips. Rhubarb crisp is good but unless you're ready for it, request it without the too-authentic bird custard. Soccer on Fox sports, modest selection of Guinness and English beers.

Cross street: Ashland Avenue

It's real scruffy but the food is excellent particularly the scottish breakfast. They charge a lot on the door when the football is on (Soccer) but good atmosphere. Its a scottish/British pub! Not Irish English I would say

Great meeting place for expat Brits, best football (soccer) pub in SoCal. Friendly service, great atmosphere, so-so food.
