Russell's Famous Hamburgers
30 N. Fair Oaks Ave.
Pasadena, CA
Colorado Boulevard
626-578-1404

Relaxed spot in ever-social climbing Old Town. Since 1930.

Popular food: Frisco Burger (grilled patty with Parmesan on sourdough), fried calamari, Rueben sandwich (pastrami with sauerkraut and dressing, grilled on rye bread).

Unique food: Grilled liver and onions.

Drinks: Beer on tap (Sierra Nevada, Newcastle, Bud), wine; soft drinks, coffee, tea.

Seating: Old-school wooden counter with eight stools, three tables and nine booths.

Ambience: Small, upscale diner popular with locals and visitors to the City of Roses; dark wood, green booths, pink and green tile.

Extras/Notes: In Old Town since 1991. The original owners of the Russell's chain sold this branch to the Suzuki family (their passion for Russell's is obvious). This location is the sole survivor of the chain.

Parking: Metered street; One Colorado parking structure (restaurant validates).
