Servers make the rounds bearing skewers of various cuts of meat, ready to carve off pieces on request.

Red is supposed to mean stop, but whether the token chip beside my plate at Fogo de Chão is turned to red or green, it doesn't seem to matter. The meat still keeps coming. It's a slow night, probably one of the few ever, at this luxe churrascaria, newly arrived in Beverly Hills via Brazil. It has been serving up to 400 famished Angelenos a night since it opened in mid-March, and the servers have a lot of meat to unload.

Ambience Glitzy super-churrascaria with murals of gaucho life on the walls and servers strolling through the room with swords threaded with grilled meats. The buffet is bigger than life; the format is prix fixe, all you can eat.
Best dishes Alcatra (top sirloin), picanha (rump roast), beef ribs, Brazilian cheese bread, salad buffet.
Best table One in the corner of the big room, or in the smaller wine room.
Of Note Full bar. Valet parking.
Prices Prix fixe dinner, $48.50 per person; $24.25 for children 6-10; complimentary for children 5 and younger. Salad bar only, $22. Lunch prices are the same for children; $32 per adult.
Service Teamwork? What a great concept.
Wine list Dull and overpriced. Corkage, $25.
