I'm about to indulge in "garlic fusion cuisine," a concept that might seem silly -- as if borrowed from an over-the-top garlic festival -- if I weren't sitting in Gorikee, a modest neighborhood restaurant in Woodland Hills. Here, the phrase is used to describe the polished Cal-Mediterranean cuisine of chef-owner Atsuhiro Tsuji, a 10-year alum of Chaya Venice.

Tom Woodland Hills, CABest restaurant in the area. Classic French technique combined with the avant-garde theme of the restaurant (Japanese fusion with a garlic focus) is amazing. I have been here with friends regularly for the past two years, and EVERYTHING we have ordered has been flawless (the New Zealand sea bass with champagne grape sauce was the best fish I've ever had), and conceptually brilliant. Nice ambience, friendly service, upscale atmosphere -- all in all, just a brilliant dining experience. Write a review | Read more reviews Venue Details
