I do not want to dignify the famous-for-being-famous celeb who was there when I visited. I've heard stories that merely making eye contact with one can get you thrown out of some of these places. I guess its true. For them, they believe that paparazzi parked outside the door is all that matters. If you have any self-respect or class, stay away. It's a creepy vibe. The restaurant is actually nice and could stand on its own merits.

1/2 empty on a Fri nt. Food mostly gd; peppercorn steak overcookd. What'll make me NEVER go back--all the rules and unbending mgmt. Had to sign contrct to pay min. $100/guest for 10+ ppl. Fine, we had 8. Still wanted us to pay. Thus had to order evry side, since we brought our own wine (another rule: 2 botls max). Nearly bursting from so much food, still short. Give us a break? Nope. All the mgr could say was, "That's our policy." Long story short, we gave up, paid, & vowed never to come back.

I went to The Lodge while on a vacation, the prime rib was superior. Better than the food was the service. I found the waiters to be friendly and helpful, everyone was treated like an A-list celebrity. Any place that serves bacon as a bar snack is worth the trip.

James Pasadena,

If you like steak, this is one of the best places in LA. Forget the decor and Beverly Hills, it's all about the quality of the meat and it was outstanding. I had to 10oz Filet Mignon and it was perfect. It's hard to find a steak restaurant that serves meat of this quality. I found it to be even better than places like Morton's and Flemings which can just as pricey but not as good a cut.
Enjoy!

I've been twice now in the last two months. I love it. I love the food. I love the bacon at the bar and the bartenders. The food is expensive, but the portions are heftier than any other lamb I've had. The Cobb salad is one, my friends are already wanting more of. By the way, we're going back tomorrow.

Just got back, so here is my 2 cents. The servers were friendly but the service was terrible. Long wait times for our orders to be taken. My wife's steak was somewhat salty as another reviewer indicated. Food not very fresh. Freezer burned shrimp and luke warm sea bass tasted not so great. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their wine selections.Great atmosphere but I would only go back for drinks. For the money, pick another place to eat dinner.

I ordered the filet mignon and thought it was good but was pricy at $26 for 6 oz. I love good food, but I would have ate just as well at a dive in the valley for half the price.
The service was prompt and friendly except toward the end. We had a big party and the server seemed to get very impatient when the bill came. It was a little irritating considering it totaled over $1,000.
There were good and bad qualities, out of everything the ambiance was the best part.

I Just recently had dinner here, with my brother and friends. I thought the service was great and the food pretty good. The shrimp scampi was a little dissapointing, becuase it was so good but yet there was only two. The steak was excellent and everyone in my party was happy.

What a terrible experience. No wonder the restaurant was half empty on a Friday night. Poor service, very low quality food and high prices do not make this establishment worth the visit. The bone-on filet was dry and served cold. The n.y strip was fatty and, when sent back for a filet, it too was a poor quality piece of meat. The side dishes (cream corn, sweet-potatos and something else that was equally forgetable) were cold and not tasty in the least. This restaurant will not last!
