Stumbled upon Ford's by accident. Was packed, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Hostess gave me a 15min wait, we got a drink at the bar & 15 minutes later, a table was available. Rather casual place with little flair. My girl and I decided to make it a "dinning experience" since I"m a chef, so we started with a meat and cheese appetizer and it was delicious. Salad, bottle of wine and our main course. Food was delicious & in good portions Service is top notch. Its a bit costly but I'd return.

Wonder what Mr. Ford is doing with all of the money he's banking? Very High prices for So-So food (and not much of it either). The concept was great, the restaurant is beautiful - but Ben Ford and his staff's attitude is blatant - give nothing for something.

Food & service: fantastic. Met Mr. Ford, & he was very kind/cordial. However: The bar manager is an unmitigated jerk. Pompous/arrogant when I told him he got my drink wrong, he was sadly our first impression of the place. Rarely do I complain; this time I did. After all that, we do plan on returning as the food was very well prepared & the waiter kind. True it's a little on the loud side. But try the table in the corner (the back left as you walk in) as you'll feel completely unnoticed.

Fun lively restaurant in renovated downtown Culver City. Inventive menu (the diver scallops were excellent) albeit a bit pricey. Attentive waitstaff. Noisy lively venue makes it perfect for groups - Ben is a very gracious, involved and visible chef.

The service was terrible and the place is too loud When had to ask for bread, the waiter brought one roll to one person at the table. INCOMPETENT. The second time I went it was a different experience. service was very good- but the catch is we were with someone who knew them that's why we were treated so well. It's sad thats the only way to get good service. Prices are too high and the menu does not have anough normal items like salads and healthier foods not fried or heavy.

We can't wait to return. EXCELLENT Steak Tartare, Smoked Trout Salad. Kobe Beef Cheeks 'Pork-ter-house'.. I was VERY SAD you don't serve a Bloody Mary here. You really should rethink this..your menu lends itself well to such a cocktail as a Bloody Mary !!!

Food was very good and the service was great. The bartender was fabulous and he made the evening fun. Highly recommend.

A Local of Culver City Culver City, CA

My first visit to Ford's was for drinks after work with a friend, thought it was great! ideal for Culver City, until my second visit for dinner, it's over-priced, designer food, I asked for a glass of house cabernet, $12.00 later, service wasn't the best. I was also very disappointment that we were seated outside, while unreserved inside seating was available the whole time we were eating. Beverly Hills prices in Culver City, not really going to work.

I was passing through LA and had read a revue of Ford's on the airplane. Yes, the lure of celebrity had caught me! I stopped by with two business associates. I have to say that overall we were very impressed. The service was impecable, the food was great and the selection of beers was good too. I can't really comment on the scene because I'm not a local, but the clientele was varied. Give it a try

Jackie Malibu,

I visited this place because my daughter told me it was great. And it really is - so I keep going back! I can't wait to return because while it is delicious restaurant food - it is the closest to the best home cooked food I can remember! I love it - my favorite place in Los Angeles - and fyi - the service is perfect - everyone is so nice. I love the fact that Chef Ben Ford is so friendly! He greets every table with sincere interest in their experience. Maybe thats why they are so popular.
