Flamboyant Chinese-by-way-of-Hollywood décor and a large, slightly exotic menu kick up the fun factor at Red Pearl Kitchen restaurant and lounge.

Skip King Sherman Oaks, CANEXT DAY we get an auto-generated email from them, saying they were all excited about a NEW chef and menu. Well, I wouldn't be THAT excited. I doubt I'll ever return. Perhaps for the bar (thankfully the drinks remained the same). September 6, 2007
Skip King Sherman Oaks, CASo on 09/03/07 we returned. UH OH. NOT GOOD. The menu has changed, somewhat drastically. The food comes out, it's sub-par. Every dish had the mushiness you'd find in cheap chinese. Five dishes, all losers. So we leave, and at home I send an email expressing our disappointment. (CONTINUED) September 6, 2007
Skip King Sherman Oaks, CASo myself in a party of 4 returned the following Monday, 08/27/07. Again, great food. One of the best meals I've had all year in LA! We got to try the hot pots this time, the seafood version was terrific. So one more time, myself and my significant other decide to go back the following Monday, just us. Skip King Sherman Oaks, CAWell, this is a very depressing review. Why? Because on 08/25/07 I went with a large party and really enjoyed it. The food was not of any specific asian cuisine, which I liked. And the quality was really there. Great flavors and aromas. And the drinks, albeit expensive, were really inventive as well. I wanted to try more dishes. So at the end of dinner we were told of a half-priced-food-Monday policy. Bring your stamped receipt from a visit the previous 7 days and participate. stef cassidy los angeles , cathe food is great...the wait is long( with a reservation) and the cocktails are OVERPRICED!!! and inconsistent. Come on people it's not hard to serve 2 martinis with equal pours!!!! For 12-15 dollars per drink, not only should they be equal, they should be generous. January 27, 2007
