The worst restaurant experience in memory. We were ignored, waited for ever, then they couldn't get our orders straight. What a zoo. Service horrible. Food was fair when it finally came. Could not wait to leave.

WHEN THE CAT'S AWAY THE MICE WILL PLAY. Potentially great restaurant with less than standard management. A Saturday evening crowd shoul not a disaster make. Bad experience. Terrible service. We had guests and were terribly embarrased by incompetant staff. We live in Culver City and there are many outstanding restaurants available for a fine dining experience. It will be a long time before we can recommend your restaurant to our friends.

The chef's light hand makes the sauces here sublime. We could taste every item on the plate, with subtle variances if with or without a sauce. Reminded me of a Lugano cafe. I'd been in Il Sole when he was cooking there. His pastas still are light. The dishes we had recently sparkled, with a unique blend of vegetables in and with the pasta. Moderately priced. It's a very unassuming spot that pleases.

Today’s March 8th review of Il Sole made me laugh. The owner-chef of Cucina Paradiso is the former manager-chef of Il Sole, but serves his dishes at half to two-thirds the price of Il Sole. Same/similar cuisine. Faster service. Better price. You decide.
