Few views in Los Angeles are as spectacular as the one provided by this legendary spot perched in the hills high above Hollywood. Yamashiro's building, constructed in 1911, is a replica of a grand Kyoto palace, with 12 acres of sprawling, terraced gardens, koi pond and exquisite architectural details. The menu here offers contemporary CalAsian cuisine as well as a full sushi menu.

Open for dinner nightly. Banquet rooms and wedding facilities available in the Japanese courtyard garden.

LOVE Yamashiro! Great food, service, atmosphere and view. I can honestly say if or when I moved out of L.A. this would be the one restaurant I'd truly miss.

I loved this place. I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary, and let me say, the view, the food, everything was awesome. The appetizers are to die for and the garden afterwards is a nice place to get some hanky panky going on, y'all know what I mean? Yo! word em up. This place is banging off the hizzook. Yo, pooh nanna yum.

This restaurant has excellent food and excellent service although I have caught the sushi chefs laughing at gringos who don't know how to use chop sticks. That aside the sushi is fresh the food is great the price is good and there is free valet parking available. One of my all time favorit lunch places
