Owned by Jeff and Sam King, cousins who run several successful eateries in the Los Angeles-South Bay area, this slick New York City-style restaurant is a hangout for residents and nearby office workers who populate the crowded front bar. In addition to steak and prime rib, the menu at 555 East also offers an assortment of Italian dishes. Outside dining is available on a heated and protected patio. Street and valet parking.

An excellent steakhouse with connecting bar/cigarbar. Food was great, wine selection superb, and the desserts to die for.

There is no other place to "dine" in Long Beach. I don't know when the last time the LA Times or Gayot have been to the 555(judging by the reviews linked to this website) but it must have been along time ago. No other experience matches the "Five" and as much traveling as I have done, it is really wonderful knowing that the best steak I have ever had, was at the 555.

This is your typical wood-paneling, wine room, steakhouse kind of place. I imagine if Long Beach had more investment bankers you would find them all here with martinis. Pretty upper-crusty and rather expensive, but good food, excellent for steaks.
