Brennan's Irish pub attracts your basic meat-and-potatoes good ol' boys and the sorority girls who love them. Follow the red brick road and neon turtles to the cobblestone building where frothy beer is the nectar of the gods, billiards are the game of choice and hanging alcohol signs illuminate your inebriated trek to the bathrooms or the big booths.

Thursdays are the best night to visit the bar as its signature turtle racing takes place out back on the track, unless there's rain. They also take St. Patrick's Day very seriously, opening the taps at 6 a.m. instead of the usual afternoon pouring time.
