The Dresden Room
Hours: Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m.-2 a.m. Readers' rating: Reader reviews: Write a review | Read other reviews The Dresden Room is a throwback to another era, when men were men and women wore seamed stockings. Popularized by the hipster crowd after being featured in the film "Swingers," the restaurant/lounge has been serving martinis and fried cheese sticks (don't go for the food) to local lovers of swing for years. In the bar area singing stalwarts Marty and Elayne still belt out old standards and amateur nights tend to draw surprising talent. The huge white leather booths in the restaurant area could make anyone look glamorous and the dressed-up crowd definitely takes advantage.
