bobby LOS ANGELES,

the place is pretty cool, but the bartender, eric is lame...total attitude and very rude...you should fire him ASAP.

Given the choice, I would probably go to Langer's or out to Jerry's Famous Deli in Studio City (which, granted, has its own problems but is still better than nearby Art's Deli). OK but nothing special, and certainly not up to all the hype.

It's not a bad deli. The food is okay and the ambiance is real deli. It's just not GREAT deli! The reasons to go are for it's hours (24?) and for celebrity watching.Every time I go (with out of towners) I see some enertainment personality or another. It is an institution.I'm glad it exists.

No doubt Canters is a landmark and everybody needs to go there to experience it at least once. The food is'nt bad but for pastrami zealots like myself, Langers is the only place to go. I'm not saying that the pastrami at Canters is'nt good, it is actually quite good, but Langers is in a class of it's own.
Langers has been around since 1947 and should have really been included in this list.

Restaurant's showing its age. But there's NOTHING like this in the NW. Have to make a pastrami run whenever I come to town.
