Jeff Massie Los Angeles, CAI’ve never found Campanile to be less than the best restaurant experience I have ever had in Los Angeles. The back dining rooms are far less noisy. If you feel $14 is too much to pay for a perfect panini, then Du-Par's is only a mile-and-a-half away (I'm not being facetious, they make a fine grilled cheese). I will also admit that I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on the wine list or its prices. I'm lucky if I can afford Campanile once a year, but when I can it's always worth it. January 13, 2007
Francis Los Angeles, CAWe went on a Friday night and it was the worst service I think I've ever had in a restaurant. The food was only marginally better than the service (one entree was cooked to death and the other was cold!) It's really too bad, because I the Campanile I remember from a few years ago was great... Campanile 2.0 (or whatever you want to call the new regime) is simply terrible! November 12, 2006
Michael Levy Woodland Hills, CA3rd Time is the charm...Never again...three bad meals in a row. even after I requested that the chicken be cooked to the well side it came out raw... warm salade...Over priced wine list...$58 bucks for a Kermit Lynch..$8.retail..busy week-end is no excuse October 29, 2006
Louis Frere Los Angeles, CANickel and Dime GREED - Average Food $10.50 for a draft beer. They charge $3.50 extra if you want olive oil on your tiny salad and $1.00 if you want mustard on your $14 grilled cheese sandwich. This BUST OUT JOINT just wants to nickel and dime its customers and doesn't care if anyone without an expense account returns. ALSO, this TOILET is so NOISY that I couldn't speak to my wife sitting next to me, much less the waiter. NEVER AGAIN! NEVER AGAIN! NEVER AGAIN! August 24, 2006
Jeffery Levine Los Angeles, CACampanile is still an Icon in Los Angeles! The Food screams quality and freshness. I felt I could trust Mark Peel, the Chef and Owner, was in command and I could just sit back and enjoy the ride. The sevice was efficient and timely with a graceful touch. I had only gone a couple of times this year and was recognized by my Server. Impressive! I highly recommend it. June 2, 2006
Rick Alsagoff Long Beach, CASo sad to see one of my favorite restaurants fall down so badly. The service was totally indifferent and despite having made reservations days in advance, we got seated on the mezzanine like level near a busy doorway. table are cramped up close and the food was totally disappointing. It look like they have become another corporate outfit and lost their onwer chef restaurant quality. Was totally embarrased as we had recommended it to our guests. February 12, 2006
marco santa monica, caSorry to say Campanile has gne down hill the past five years. We used to look forward to taking out-of-town friends for an outstanding inovative meal. Now we go there only if we're in the neighborhood and weren't able to get in at other restaurants. It's mediocre, over-priced, with indifferent service. Return to Campanile venue details
