Popular food: Sandwiches (try the Baura with grilled ham, mozzarella and fried eggs on Italian bread); creative salads (Carnival salad includes heart of palm); pastas; wood oven pizzas (especially the Margherita or alho porró with leeks); grilled meats and veggie items marinated in Brazilian spices and herbs with sides such as fried plantains, black beans and yucca.

Unique food: Fried yucca with Parmesan cheese.

Drinks: Guaraná, passion fruit juice, tropical drinks, soft drinks.

Seating: Indoor and outdoor, black iron tables.

Ambience: Romantic and casual, très Californian; hip gay and hetero couples; patio with fountain.

Extras/Notes: Hollywood's Bossa Nova has a larger menu than the location further west. More than 18 gourmet toppings for the wood oven pizzas.

Parking: Small lot.
