PARKING: $2.50 - you must park here or park way down the street in a bad area. FOOD: Good Food. It should be excellent. You are paying much more for what you get. SERVICE - only Fair. Service is slow. Be prepared to wait they are busy and their attitude is only Fair. LOCATION: NOT A GOOD AREA - Valet Parking is important to feel safe. WAITING AREA: Terrible - very small, crowded with others waiting. You will wait even if you have a reservation - unless you get there early or off-hours.

The service was perfect. The food outstanding. I had Pepper Steak which was cooked to perfection. The baked potato was fabulous. I have NEVER said that about a potato. Cesar salad is made at your table with all fresh ingredients. We had fresh rasberries over ice cream with Chambord over the top. It is pricey, but well worth it. Will definitely go there again.

We have a small business in Downey. We like to take our clients to lunch at your restaurant. However, dealing with the Hostess, Julie, has been a nightmare. We enjoy the food and the service, but the thought of dealing with the Hostess has made us reget our visits on occasion. But the food keeps us returning.

Service was absolutely miserable. One would think after so many years they would have that down pat. The food was good, but took far too long to reach our table (nearly an hour). Never saw server after giving order until 45 minutes later with no apology and no refills offered on drinks. Had to ask for everything, no offers of assistance (from bread to check). I was expecting old school (like Pacific Dining Car) but got Denny's style service. Skip this one.

Reminds me of the places your parents took you or relatives to for a birthday, anniversary, etc. Obviously they see a lot of repeat business from the way the very attentive staff seemed to know people. Where else will you find the owner of the restaurant making your Ceasar Salad at your table?

The Dal Rae was not what I expected. We had a party of 8 and the room they put us in was crowded and the service was slow. Our baked potatoes were not fresh. They had been done up hours before. For $300.00 it was a rip off. It was my husbands birthday and I sure wish I had chosen a better place for a special occasion. I would never go their again. Outrages for the food that was served. Very poor. Save your money for a nicer place. Sincerely The Winn family
