Versailles
1415 S. La Cienega Blvd.
L.A., CA
310-289-0392

Westsiders know where to come when they want to get some of that garlicky Cuban chicken: Versailles. Served with rice, black beans and battered sweet platanos, it may be the best chicken you've ever tasted.

Apart from the charbroiled half-chicken plates, there's plenty that's good. Tasty pork specials, paella and seafood are all tried and true. If you're feeling adventurous, try the delicious and tender lingua.

The decor is very luncheonette, but the trip to any one of the four locations is worth it. Check out the swirl of activity and see all different kinds of Angelenos united in their quest for chicken done well. The garlic won't wear off for hours! Also in Manhattan Beach, Culver City and Encino.
