BE WARNED - the maitre d' is a TOTAL jerk. I won't revisit this place because of the rude service.
Despite having a reservation for 4, the maitre d' sat us at a table for two as we arrived separately to our guests. When we ordered, the waiter asked where the other two were going to sit. Our point exactly. He went to speak to the maitre d' but returned shaking his head and apologizing that his rudeness has been losing them business.
Very unpleasant experience.

This was the most unique restaurant my family has been to in a long time. The food was excellent and the service was superb. Our waiter, Antonie, was not only personable but also efficient in his service.
I would recommend this restaurant highly!!!!

A friend recommended this place to me and I'm so glad I went. The food was amazing, everything I had. Great list of spanish wines also. The service was excellent. Very friendly and laid back attitude. The interior design is very well planned to provide a relaxing ambiance hard to find in LA. This place is definitely one of the high points of the entire city if you like relaxed fine dining.

Family/friends invited me for dinner for my Birthday Celebration! The evening ended with on a sour note! The manager(Doug) at the Hollywood Blvd. location asked my party to leave as another party of 7 was waiting for the table! When members of my party expressed their dissatisfaction with Doug he became belligerent, yelling, to never return to the restaurant!! Good food is NOT worth the insults and barage of expletives which spewed from his mouth. I was never so glad to leave.

'spanish' food is the most misused culinary adjective in america. This place gets it right. I spend a fair amount of time in Spain, and really love the food, so from that perspective, I found the offerings here really great. I think that cobra lily is related to this restaurant- i think that one is great as well.

It really seems to be luck of the draw, looking at the other reviews here. I've been to Cobra's and Matadors twice so far and each time has been a generally enjoyable experience. The portions are reasonable , though sometimes a bit pricey.
The presentation is generally nice and the food is anywhere from "good" to "very good" but only a few dishes are outstanding.
The sangria is delicious. The deserts are all generally enjoyable.

Had the worst table in the restaruant, host was rude, waitress got our order wrong. Never got our complete order, yet she charged us for everything. When we told her our bill was incorrect bcuz we didn't receive our complete order, she had the nerve to question us "are you sure?" HELLO? How can she possibly ask when our table only had bread and 2 appetizer plates. If she would have stopped by our table to check on us then we could have told her we were missing most of our food.

As a Silvelake resident, it's extremely disappointing how few good restaurants there are in the area. This one unfortunately is no exception. Some of the worst Spanish food I've ever had. Extremely pricey for the quality of the food and size of the portions. Verdict - avoid!
