Mexican Food Burritos + barrio + Boyle Heights = Al & Bea's.

Popular food: Burritos, jalitos (jalepeños stuffed with cheese and breaded).

Drinks: Basic soft drinks.

Seating: Five tables, two patio tables in the good ol' sunshine.

Ambience: Locals -- school children, police officers, mechanics, residents of all ages.

Extras/Notes: Al & Bea's keeps their loyal customers because they stay true to what they do best -- making a damn good burrito! Take your order to-go and eat at nearby Hollenbeck Park or on the steps of Mariachi Plaza, where mariachis looking for their next gig serenade you. Take some time to stroll down First Street, the hub of L.A.'s Mexican-American community.

Parking: Metered street.
