Eclectic, unusual Japanese cooking -- excellent soba and ramen.

Popular food: Ramen, soba, teriyaki, spicy garlic chicken and shrimp, sashimi, shrimp gyoza.

Unique food: Pickled squid, fried fish bone, asparagus in oyster sauce.

Drinks: Japanese beers, sake, tea, soft drinks.

Seating: Table seating for 30; counter.

Ambience: Television, music and movie industry folks, from crafts people to execs; strong artistic contingent; intriguing visiting tattooed Japanese.

Extras/Notes: Arguably the most interesting restaurant in Hollywood. Give Yosh the owner a budget and let him choose the menu. You will never be disappinted.

Parking: Strip mall lot.
