A very popular after-surfing breakfast haunt.

Popular food: Best teriyaki sauce in L.A. -- Surfer's Special featuring two hot dogs is delicious; delightful chicken and beef teriyaki plates; most dishes served with two scoops of rice covered with teriyaki sauce and heavily buttered Hawaiian sweet bread toast.

Unique food: Lomi-lomi salmon (raw salted salmon served chilled in tomatoes and onions with Tabasco sauce).

Drinks: Coffee, soft drinks, lemonade.

Seating: Tiny space seats only 22.

Ambience: Mostly local surfers; walls lined with surfing photos.

Extras/Notes: This family-owned restaurant was established by a Hawaiian prize fighter.

Parking: Street only.
