Boa is a restaurant I find myself returning to again and again. I've dreamt about the oysters rockefeller at Boa. The foie gras is delicious and the presentation changes frequently. Escargots are also great, the other starters are good but not impressive. Steaks are right for price. Try bearnaise sauce or foie gras butter as a topper. Salmon is good. Sides are not spectacular. Neither are salads. All in all, you can have a hip & fun, not too pricy night at Boa.

We went here on a weekday night for an anniversary. We sat outside becuase it was a gorgeous night (and also very loud inside). Not only was I so bothered by the constant beeping for the crosswalk over ocean, but the service was lousy and the food (from the salad to the steaks to side of mushrooms) was covered in pepper. So over rated, and for the money not an enjoyable night. We couldn't wait to get out of there.

Boa is a bar masquerading as a restaurant. A hostess who sat our party 30 minutes after our set reservation time, a waitress whose chipper mood would make you think she was plucked from being a tour guide at Universal Studios, and a printed wine list with many items not available. The food was good, but everything else needs work Go there for drinks and then head to Houston's, Joes, Jiraffe, Melisse, PF Changs or even In-and-Out Burger for a better dining experience.
