Christakis
Reader reviews: Write a review | Read other reviews If you're looking for authentic home-style Greek cooking, the venerable
and
family-run Christakis is the place. The pièce de résistance is
the rack of lamb ($29).
Marinated in white wine and oregano, it's tender and juicy and almost
enough for two. For
dessert, be sure to have the galactobouriko -- clove-infused custard baked
in a sheath of filo
dough.

CC Tustin, CaWhat a quaint little secret. The atmoshere is chic while the the service is old country. Everyone is related and family is all around. IN addition the food is all made on the premise and everything is made to order. A bit hidden, but it should not be kept a secret! The rack of lamb is the best I have ever had, matched by the hummus! Must make it a regulr place! August 6, 2006
Jim Kern Santa Ana, CAWe went this past Saturday (8-5-06) to Christakis'. While the parking is not the best, the food and the service, let alone the ambiance, were just outstanding! We plan to make Christakis one of our fave stops in the future. While the prices are a bit higher than most working class families may, on a regular basis, afford: it is well worth the price for a place to go once or twice a month instead of just burgers or the common fare of Carrows or Norms, Write a review | Read more reviews Venue Details
