My favorite meal of all time is the white truffle risotto served at Giorgio's during truffle season (oct-dec). Unfortunately, I will never be back due to the lack of care from the servers. They are pretentious, rude and ruined a beautiful meal. It will be the absolute downfall of that restaurant if they don't find a new staff. (maybe it's Giorgio himself that just doesn't care) In any case, don't waste your money unless you like to be treated like an inconvenience.

A Bad LA Moment. The past occasions I dined here were excellent but I will not go again. We made a reservation so we did not expect to be treated like a supplicant Oliver Twist by a Maitre Dee that greets patrons with his back. They were overbooked, but did not call us; instead we were left outside on the pavement. Don’t risk this place unless you like hanging around as an unpaid extra in an advertisement to their hip ness.

Waiters with attitude are so annoying. They are supposed to be helpful not snotty. We were there for a New Year's Eve dinner that we wanted to be special and the staff were arrogant and so full of themselves it was ridiculous. Food was good but I don't care how good , if the people serving you think they are doing you a favor to serve you dinner that you are paying (alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) for. Hint, you are not that important, or you wouldn't be waiting tables.

Giorgio, is Giorgio, the menu basically has not changed since it was first opened. Some management has changed, waiters come and go , but Giorgio himself is always there and so is the quality of food. Yes you need to know what to order and how, yes it is expensive and yes it is probably the best N. Italian food in LA. "Stars" go there for the food, not for the scene, you should too. Hint - bring someone who knows Italian and speaks Azzurri.

been there a number of times until i wondered what's the big deal. food's o.k., the place is noisy, felt the place was densely crowded..tables on top of each other. lastly, can't bring my own wine. must drink theirs. on a price to value basis, along with ambience, there are much better places. rember, we are not in kansas. when it comes to food, we are in l.a.

i have gone there once a week for five plus years. always consistently perfect. never a drop of food left on a plate. forget the scene ... forget the chairs. it's about the food, stupid!

Thank heaven someone finally called Giorgio out on the ordinary food and extraordinary pricing. Admittedly, I have been only once; but my friend ordered the lobster special (not very special, as you pointed out) and we got dinged with the $90. We have blamed ourselves for not asking the price, so it was comforting to know that at least we saved ourselves a public shaming. PLEASE everyone, do yourself a favor and go right next door to the best restaurant in Santa Monica - Sam's!!!
