AWFUL! Clearly treat non-Japanese customers as 2nd class citizens. Quality of the fish poor. And they charge a hefty markup on alcohol. Other than that a pleasant experience.

Simply our favorite restaurant in LA. It is expensive, the setting is not elegant, there is no scene, and the service is nothing special - but the food makes up for all of this. Mori has his own idea of how sushi should be seasoned, so do not expect extra wasabi, etc. - but if you trust him you will experience some of the best sushi in LA.

With the translocation of Ginza Sushi-ko to the Big Apple, I'd have to say that Mori's sushi is, if not the best in LA, right there at the top. The thought put into presentation and the quality of ingredients make it a worthwhile trp though a fairly exepnsive. Admittedly there is a decided lack of ambience but all the more to concentrate on the exquisite sushi.

I would not recommend this restaurant at all. It smells unsanitary, the restrooms are filty, among other things....

The food at Mori is among the best in the city. Please don't bother if you're looking for spicy tuna rolls, california rolls and the like. The fish here is only high quality, so no need to mask it with hot sauce and mayonnaise.
