This restaurant may have lost its celebrity owner (Kevin Costner) and celebrity chef (Michael Roberts), but not its popularity, particularly among those who enjoy a combination of the culinary and musical arts. Several distinct dining areas offer guests a choice of different dining experiences. Twin Palms' sprawling patio is lively and widely regarded as one of greater L.A.'s nicer alfresco dining venues. Although not entirely shielded from the jazz, blues, salsa, swing or reggae sounds on the patio, the interior dining room is quiet enough to accommodate a modicum of conversation.
The former French Provençal menu has been converted to "California Coastal" cuisine, a style of cooking emphasizing fresh ingredients of the region and incorporating various elements from Latin America and the Pacific Rim. The menu includes items such as warm goat cheese salad with figs and candied walnuts in a hazelnut dressing, Maui onion soup and pan-seared, crispy-skinned salmon filet in a citrus-infused Zinfandel reduction. Open for lunch and dinner daily; brunch is served on Sunday.
