Quiet Pasadena seems an odd choice for mega-star Jennifer Lopez's restaurant. West Hollywood or the Sunset Strip, even Los Feliz makes more sense. But for whatever reason, the singer, movie star and former Fly Girl chose to install Madre's on a dark side street downtown.
The best thing about Madre's is the crowd. Everyone is out to have a good time, and they do, despite everything. Surely, J. Lo could do better for them than this.

this will be my 5th time going to Madre's for my birthday and my 1st yr annivarsary.. This is my favorite restaurant..The only thing i have to say is for J-Lo making millions of dollars the WOMENS Restroom is really run down..Everytime that i have been there, no work has been done..So hopefully when i go this Fri the 14th it's re-modeled..!

Wow! I went to Madre's with a pestamist attitude because it's a celebrity restaurant, but I was really impressed! Besides the beautiful decor and fun atmosphere with the great band, I really enjoyed my food and the friendly service. I will be back to celebrate my birthday there and would recommend it to anyone.

Apparently, the staff does not wash their hands. Our entire table got diarrhea afterwards for a couple days. One of our party ordered chicken, which came out bloody. All I can say is, this place is another tourist trap in Pasadena. Avoid it if you can. If you must, before you go, please watch El Cantante. That may change your mind. J-LO is satan.
