Wood Ranch BBQ roasts baby back pork ribs over mesquite and then slathers them with a Santa Ynez-style barbecue sauce, based on tomato, sugar and vinegar -- it caramelizes into a red-brown coating. A light platter is eight ribs, a full rack is 13. Each comes with a choice of two sides, such as barbecued beans, "smashed" sweet potatoes, twice-baked mashed garlic potatoes or peanut cole slaw. (Light platter, $14.95; full rack, $16.95.)

I dine at Wood Ranch in Santa Clarita on the average of twice a week. Without exception, it is the best restaurant experience around. I've had everything from appetizers, salad, meat, steaks, prime rib and fish. Everything is excellent. The wait staff is incredible, friendly, attentive and I would highly recommend the Santa Clarita restaurant to anyone. Only draw back is the wait --- but it's worth it!!

Phenomenal ten times over!!! For the very reasonable prices, we enjoyed excellently prepared food with standout flavor. Like all good restaurants, this place just knows what they're doing and make it look effortless. You can tell they're well managed. Our whole table can't wait to go back.

The wait took an hour but it wasn't worth it. This is your basic mall-food restaurant with nothing special to set it apart. Service is not particularly good or bad just blah. Price is too expensive for what you get. I would not go back.
