This evening was my first time at Wood Ranch, where I had barbecued ribs, baked beans and cole slaw. The slaw is very good; beans were far too sweet and seemed to have the same sauce as the meat; ribs themselves were OK, but the sauce was far too SWEET! I would go again with friends, but ask for the sauce to be left off the ribs. They have boned trout, which might tempt. Dinner rolls are soft, puffy balloons without much flavor. Very unsophisticated food, for stuffing, not savoring.

I dine at Wood Ranch in Santa Clarita on the average of twice a week. Without exception, it is the best restaurant experience around. I've had everything from appetizers, salad, meat, steaks, prime rib and fish. Everything is excellent. The wait staff is incredible, friendly, attentive and I would highly recommend the Santa Clarita restaurant to anyone. Only draw back is the wait --- but it's worth it!!

Phenomenal ten times over!!! For the very reasonable prices, we enjoyed excellently prepared food with standout flavor. Like all good restaurants, this place just knows what they're doing and make it look effortless. You can tell they're well managed. Our whole table can't wait to go back.

The wait took an hour but it wasn't worth it. This is your basic mall-food restaurant with nothing special to set it apart. Service is not particularly good or bad just blah. Price is too expensive for what you get. I would not go back.

We went after the movies at the Grove tonight. We wanted something light. We got a very nice table on the patio on a very cool night. The heaters kept us warm. We shared the Avocado BLT with french fries. Fresh, delicious, immense! The mistake we made was ordering the chocolate cake with ice cream and whipped cream for dessert. Obscenely delicious. The service was extremely friendly and attentive even though the place was jammed. We're going back even without going to the movies.

I think this place has obviously gotten its act together. I had a KC strip that was as good as any steakhouse and a baked potato that was perfectly cooked. The peanut slaw was awesome. My girlfriend had the trout and it was excellent, she said. She had the mashed sweet potatoes and loved them. The service was really good even though the place was jammed. We shared an immense cheesecake and left stuffed and very happy. Pretty good prices for that level of quality. Try it again.

I recently dined (for lack of a better word) at Wood Ranch. I ordered the Porterhouse and had to send it back because their idea of medium rare was almost cooked enough for shoe leather. The second steak was almost digestable (however it was medium rare). Maybe I'm spoiled by establishments like Arnie Mortons, but the quality was nowhere near the $30 price tag for this dish. It was my last visit to Wood Raunch.

The service was bad and the food is mediocre. I would not recommend it.
