We went to the PG on Sat. 1/5/08 after Shabbat. The atmosphere is really nice, and the waiters are friendly. The only thing is that the food is not good at all. My husband and I got the New York stake with desert. The next day, we both got sick. I think the food is not fresh at all. The fact that they put the meat in a special room and certain condition (as they claim) does not make the meat tender at all. In contrary, it makes it rotten. Do not spend your money on this.

service was very slow and unpredictable.I waited too long to sit at the table. the waiter forgot my side dish with the dinner and then waited forever for the check. the food was above average, nothing incredible. will not go back tere again

This is the best place I have ever been to. They have the best food!
If you read what people wrote before, they are all wrong. I have been eaten there for several times already, and no complains.
This is the first restaurant in LA that I will go back and eat there and enjoy.

In all of my years of dining out, I never once experienced such terrible service and rudeness as when I went to PG this past Saturday. After Shabbat, my friends and I went to PG for our 9:30 reservations. We were told they were 30 minutes behind schedule, which seemed odd, considering they had only been open for one hour. When we asked the primadonna hostess how the wait was going, she said "not yet," and went to chat with one of her friends. In all, we waited for 90 minutes before leaving.

It's about time Los Angeles got an amazing upscale steakhouse that happens to be kosher! The scene is great as is the food, and while the service is still finding itself (it's only been open a couple of months) this place deserves a try.

The location is fantastic. The bathrooms are well-appointed. Great palce to bring a date as long as you don't eat. They should concentrate on perfecting their steak and potatoes and forget about everything else. The worst part was the presentation or lack thereof. I recommend they use smaller plates, forget family style service and serve steak with a few fried onions, a choice of potatoes and a second colorful side dish. Bottom line, if location and looks impress you, then go there.
