The museum has installed its newly acquired 1892 Paul Gauguin painting, "Arii Matamoe (The Royal End)," in its 19th Century galleries, and a severed head on a platter has never looked more ravishingly creepy.

Scientific and natural history illustrations in the form of books, prints and watercolors by Merian, (1647-1717) her daughters Johanna Helena and Dorothea Maria and their contemporaries.

An exhibition of a recently rediscovered manuscript, textiles, books, prints, maps, watercolors and photographs.
