Open End A new addition to the museum's collection, the rare, life-sized plaster sculpture of the Enlightenment writer and philosopher, Voltaire, is one of eight versions known to exist. Through Nov. 2 This giant survey features works by more than 30 African artists, most from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Visitors will see how some African artists challenged traditional forms through improvisation. Through Sep. 1 Through Jul. 6 An exhibition of about 60 works on paper displaying the artist's signature politically subversive, bizarre aesthetic, which was both a vanguard and influence upon Symbolism, German Expressionism, Dada and Surrealism. |
