This is not, as they say, a movie for everyone. But for that particular someone, "Savage Grace" could be the perfect summer chiller. It is a throbbing melodrama on ice. Julianne Moore plays Barbara Baekeland, an ambitious girl who marries her way into a fortune and a world of elegant misery. Eventually abandoned by her husband, Brooks (Stephen Dillane), and pathologically attached to her only son, Tony (Eddie Redmayne), Barbara redirects Tony's sexual inclinations in the most hands-on way imaginable. A Greek tragedy unspooling against the backdrops of Paris, Cadaqués and Mallorca, director Tom Kalin treats each frame like a work of art.
