A young man meets Mr. Right as he's trying to dump Mr. Wrong.

"Holding Trevor" is a reflective, perceptive portrait of an intelligent, personable man who meets Mr. Right at what seems the wrong moment. Brent Gorski, who also wrote the thoughtful script, stars in the title role as a man stuck in a dead-end job at an L.A. telephone answering service who is gathering courage to break off with his lover, Darrell (Christopher Wyllie), a heroin addict.

While trying to free himself from Darrell, Trevor meets Ephram (Eli Kranski), a medical intern with a megawatt smile. Darrell has a forceful personality and, at a time when Trevor needs some space, he is as overwhelmed by Ephram as he is attracted to him; the upheavals in Trevor's life also make him aware of how dependent upon him are his party-hearty pal (Jay Brannan) and troubled friend (Melissa Searing).

Director Rosser Goodman makes the crucial decisions facing Trevor suspenseful and involving -- and tinged with humor as well as pathos.
