This 10-year loan to the museum includes works from ancient American cultures, including Olmec, Teotihuacan, Maya, Aztec and Inca.



Palace of Wonders: The Galleries of Renaissance and Baroque Art

The Walters has been fully renovated and outfitted with restored pieces of art, armor, furniture and other objects from the 14th through 18th centuries. The new rooms, courtyard and gallery spaces reflect the grandeur of bygone eras.

Shrunken Treasures: Miniaturization in Books and Art

The exhibition features more than 30 small-scale manuscripts and rare books, including tiny Korans, a painted book of hours and a prayer book hand-cut into intricate lace patterns for Marie de Medici, declared regent of France in 1610.
