This band must be heard at your soonest. The alums of the Big Band era havn't missed a beat. Each gets to solo which makes ultra-exciting listening. Dave Pell's tenor tone is a step above Coleman Hawkins. Bonniie Bowden's vocals round out a 17 piece swingin affair. I hope Jonny Vana will someday list all the players in the group. Sure wish we had a band like this back home. Oh yes, there is dancing too. Not for me though, I am right up against that bandstand. paul kelley

This is just about the best Big Band around. In fact, I'd say that without any hesitation, except that I've not heard all the others. What I do know is that this stands head and shoulders up there with the very best of the swingin' Big Bands dating back to the 40's and the decades between then and now. The members of the band are experienced, super top flight musicians who have been in the business long enough to know exactly what they are doing - and that's blowing at top speed! You can't beat them! Period!
