Michael Hudson-Medina Los Angeles, CAAfter waiting many years to see a production Der Zwerg/The Dwarf, this is the opera event of the season, not only for LA but on an international caliber. This incredible production brings all the elements of music, drama, and scenic art to the pinnacle of perfection. THIS IS WHAT OPERA IS ALL ABOUT! Bravo Maestro Conlon for giving Los Angeles this special moment in American opera history. People will be talking about this production for a long time to come. February 18, 2008
don gunn laguna woods, caI see a lot of opera all over the US and the world, and this producdtion of The Dwarf is one of the most gorgeous productions I've ever seen. The music, sets, costumes and performances are heart-stopping and provide one of those rare experiences in theatre--where there is discovery of a great work and it is stunningly produced. Kudos to James Conlon for bringing this to LA and for his amazing contribution to the musical life of LA. Write a review | Read more reviews |
