Whiskey Blue
930 Hilgard Ave.
W Hotel
Los Angeles, CA
Le Conte Avenue
310-443-7820

The scenesters have arrived in a quiet corner of Westwood Village.

Popular Drinks: Martinis (pineapple!) and cocktails inside; frozen drinks, lemonades and more fruit Martinis (cantaloupe, apple, peach) outside at the poolside bar. Nice wine list, both by the glass and bottles.

Food: Full menu in the Mojo and Mojito restaurant areas (tapas, oysters and ceviche reign).

Seating: Sexy couches and chairs for lounging and preening; cabanas by the pool.

Ambience:Deliberate lighting and design to evoke a luscious, hip, upscale vibe. Full of scenesters and not-so-local types. Lots of accents and dashing men in swank suits that cry Industry. When the poolside bar closes at 10 p.m., the crowd moves inside until 2 a.m.

Extras/Notes: Randy Gerber's (Cindy Crawford's man) Midnight Oil Corp. runs the bar scene in the hotel, which mixes with the restaurant Mojo inside and Mojito outside. Hip and splashy outfit and shoes required -- unless you've got a key to the room, though in that case you'll probably have the cash to dress right, too. Order a piña colada and dip your toes in the pool. Watch out for GQ types and leggy models fresh from a trans-Atlantic flight. A good place to pretend you're rich and famous, or to meet a sexy European. The decadent hybrid of restaurant, bar and night scene is somewhat unusual for this neck of the woods.

Parking: Valet (wash your car before you pull up), metered street, pay lots.
