Its hip and worldly sophistication draws a lively crowd to Bella, the latest Hollywood hot spot.

With all the clubs and restaurants that have opened recently on the Cahuenga corridor and Hollywood Boulevard, and against all odds, Hollywood is making its comeback as a playground for hipsters.

Bella isn't immune to the frenzy. Because it's on the corner, you can see up and down Hollywood Boulevard and the circus passing by made up of tourists and hustlers, the lonely and the desperate, hipsters and suburban wannabes. It's all one crazy, delirious mix.

Fantastico! I've eaten at many Italian restaurants around the US and Bella was excellent from start to finish. The flavorful bread with semolina and the bruchetta -amazing.The appetizer of fried calamari and shrimp(scarce, but tasty)was more than enough for three to share. I had the medallions of beef on a bed of riscotto -pure comfort food.My only complaint was the somewhat high prices for so-so bottles of wines so we passed and I just had a decently priced glass of merlot.Return? In a heartbeat!

There are Italian place and there are ITALIAN! This is the spot for great food, and meeting with the crowd. Being from New Orleans, where the Irish and the Italians mix their stuff, this is the place to mix it all up.
