Aaron Tadeffe works a table at his restaurant Industry Cafe, which features East African dishes and live jazz.

Industry Cafe & Jazz in Culver City is probably best described as a scruffy little jazz club with great food. But when the music's not playing and the place is sparsely populated, the staff is so confident and friendly and the East African dishes (no matter when you drop in) so fresh and distinctive, it's like stopping by a friendly household where there's always something good cooking.

I went for the first time a few weeks ago and I must say the atmosphere is welcoming, the food is good and the customer service is to be commended. Suggestion: the one thing that would complete it would be backgammmon game s or chess or checkers for people who wanted to do something after eating inbetween the music sets at elast a small section maybe 2 tables for this.

I love Industry Cafe` and Jazz. The combination of authentic delicious Ethiopian/Eritrean cuisine at a very reasonable price with the enjoyable jazz atmosphere is really what this city needed. This place invites incredibly talented jazz groups to perform at no cover charge to the customer (only a tip jar), and the personnel is very friendly and delightful. I recommend this place to anyone, whether you are a jazz lover or just want to take your date in a nice and inexpensive romantic spot.

We are hooked to Industry Cafe. On average we dine there twice a month. Our favorite group was a brass quintet. Food is always great and very hospitable staff. MUST VISIT !
