We'll never go back horrible food & pricey. Our 1st course consisted of a mushy heirloom tomato and burrata. The escargot were small as if the chef had cut them in half and shoved them into cold shells & cold butter. My wife's steak arrived in a scalding hot cast-iron skillet I felt like we were at Chilis. I had the duck, that was nonetheless cold and devoid of flavor. All in all, the dining experience was thoughtless and expensive and my wife awoke sick and is sure that the escargots were bad

An old favorite, Cafe Stella is past its prime. The European feel on the lovely patio lives on, but the uninviting, indolent staff and sub-par food quality is unacceptable, especially in a neighborhood with so many superior alternatives. 45 minutes to see a server, soup served luke-warm, peppercorn steak with all the flavor and tenderness of Sizzler. Also known to be homophobic - gay men should avoid. Similar menus at Figaro on Vermont or even Taix on Sunset near Echo Park are a better choice.

I Love Cafe Stella! My husband and I go there occasionally and we've always had an outstanding meal. The service is great and the atmosphere very romantic.
If you go there...do not pass on the deserts .."they are heavenly"!!

Overpriced with incredibly pretentious service--there are few times that I've been as outraged as I was here. There are a million other places to get a glass of wine, go to one that isn't so sadly bougie.

I think when you first arrive, you feel like you are actually stepping into a bistro in Paris. Then the food comes, it's not bad, but not special either. It's a bit non descript, as is the staff, who seem so important they are doing us a favor by "waiting" on us? All this and it's ridiculously overpriced. Better to visit Pastis on Beverly or even Cafe des Artistes in Hollywood. The latter has a bitter staff as well, but the food is much better and so is the overall ambience. Cest la vie

The Bar at Cafe Stella is a great place to experience. My favorite time is from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. I normally go for the Stella burger and a glass of wine (either rose or red pinot). The Stella burger is the best kept secreet in Silver Lake, what a treat you can not go wrong with this simple and refined burger. The burger comes with delicious french fries. Tople the meal with the new Stella cheese cake. Ohh , what an expeprience of place and culinary delight. .

We love this place! The friendly staff and great ambiance. We like to start off with a kir royale or campari and soda at the bar and then move outside to a table. Also love the wine list of unique small vineyards and the recommendations from the knowledgable staff. The beet salad w/ goat cheese is delicious. This is our favorite date restaurant!!!
