Richard Pasadena, CAI just visited Mijares and glad to report that after 88 years, nothing has changed. Still the greatest Margaritas on the planet, family-friendly with three outdoor patios, beautiful gardens, and great music on the weekends. And, don't forget this is Paul McCartney's famous restaurant he talked about on his concerts. The Mijares salsa rojo on the enchiladas is an original recipe from Grandma Mijares. Great crab enchiladas, salsa that is volcanic ground every day. September 15, 2005
Simon Los Angeles, CAThis is "the" place for Mexican in Los Angeles County. Great margaritas, and regional Mexican food prepared from Jescuicta's own recipes for 85 years. Yes, it's the oldest Mexican restaurant in the LA area and still run by the same family. Try the Sunday brunch -- and the pork tamales. Perfect. Also, lighter fare for those watching their calories, including a Spa Margarita, invented here. Write a review | Read more reviews Venue Details
