Our dinner for 4 was perfect in almost every way. Service was professional yet personable, not rushed but prompt, and all details attended to. The food was equally impressive and prepared perfectly. Hangar steak and lamb were standouts, as were desserts. Interesting wine list. A little artwork on the bare walls would add some warmth, but that's a small gripe. Overall, many LA restaurants could learn a lot here.

It is a very cool little spot with excellent service and really impressive wines at good prices. The food is innovative and delicious, but you feel as if some small ingredient may be missing with every bite you take. I can't put my finger on it though. I will make several more trips to Hatfield's because I liked it. I did not get the friendliest vibe from the wife of the chef, but she was cordial enough. Great deserts which I understand she prepares herself. Perfect setting and service.

I really wanted to love this place...but didn't. Service was perfect, wine pairings w/ tasting menu were some of the most unique I've ever had, but the tasting menu just lingered somewhere and never went anywhere but salty, you can tell the chef loves fluer de sel. Maybe they need more time to get a feel for LA, I hope, but stick to apps and nice bottle from the list for now.

Intimate new restaurant worth the drive or walk. Food is inventive without being overly "clever" and does not disappoint in any fashion. Recommend the 7-course tasting menu if you have the time -- sit back an enjoy. Desserts are way too good to pass up -- best if everyone orders something diffiernet and you share. Nice nice wine list with a European rather than CA orientation. A great place for a special date with the one you love!

Waited for all the hype to settle down, and was smitten by everything we tried. Wine choices by the glass were excellent paired with the menu. Only bummer is the $20 corkage if you want to bring your own wine. Over all a 10 in my book. Service is also great. don't miss Karen's desserts.
