They've gone about as fur as they can go (July 22, 2005)
Readers' rating: Unrated Reader reviews: Write a review Playwright Justin Tanner, right, with performers Billy Wright, Brian Newkirk and Brendon Broms.
The first offering from the newly formed Third Stage Company, Justin Tanner's wildly over-the-top romp about marginal West Hollywood theater types putting on an unauthorized gay adaptation of "Oklahoma!" is both broad parody and a savage sendup of Tanner's own experiences on the local small theater scene. The scenery-chomping cast includes Tanner himself as the play-within-a-play's monstrously manipulative director. Explicit sexual language.
