This welcome if far from perfect addition to the quirky Beth Henley corpus begins with a petrified groom hiding out at his incarcerated father's elegant New Orleans home and moves on to explore the varieties of conjugal madness. Revolving around three brothers, the comedy doesn't quite equal the playwright's much beloved "Crimes of the Heart," with its better drawn trio of sisters. But there's more genuine intelligence, feeling and wit in this uneven effort by Henley than in the countless over-touted hits trying to disguise their mediocrity.
