Can-Can

Pasadena Playhouse
39 S. El Molino Ave.
Pasadena,CA

This revival of Cole Porter and Abe Burrows' 1953 musical set in decadent, turn-of-the-last-century Paris features a revised book that doesn't quite iron out the notorious wrinkles of the original. But David Lee's merrymaking staging helps us overlook them, and how can you not love Porter's high-kicking score?
