It's an incredible play. The cast, the script, the set, every detail is lovingly attended to to form a well-rounded, utterly satisfying production.
Go see it, tell your friends to see it, pay for strangers to see it. It's THAT good.

I saw poor beast in the rain on Saturday night. It made me cry. I could especially relate to the subtext of loss.
Having left Ireland for London myself in 1976 in scandalous circumstances, leaving behind those I loved, the play made me homsick for Wexford. In fact as soon as my back improves I'm coming home to set the record straight. Thanks!
Great job all...

myself and my girlfriend Mag saw this play and we were both astonished at how good it was. Who says theatre in L.A is crap. As soon as our welfare checks come we're going again.

I actually saw Poor beast in the Rain in previews, and it's definitely worth catching. Great performances, great little theater, not your standard LA flash-and-splash fare. This show is something special, take or tell your friends.

What a memorable evening of theater! The writing, acting and staging are superb. Moving performances by Joanne Whalley and Michael O'Hagen. Having lived in London, England for 3 years I can only say this production equals the best of the best that can be seen on London's West End! Do not miss this opportunity!!

What a beautiful play! The cast is incredible, you absolutely believe these people have known each other forever. Especially good are Joanne Whalley and Michael O'Hagan. He actually made me cry! The set takes you right to a Wexford betting shop, and the details of the race photos and sports posters and nicotine-stained walls are lovely. But the real star is the play itself-- the language is almost musical and the actors' believable Irish accents are still absolutely understandable. I LOVED THIS SHOW!!!!!

This is a beautifully written and acted play! Billy Roche is a fantastic Irish writer, and bravo to this theater for bringing him to the U.S. All of the performances are top-notch. Joanne Whalley is incredibly moving and sympathetic. The entire cast is amazing. This is a Broadway caliber show, and Los Angeles audiences should support this kind of high-quality production!
