I drove from San Diego to LA in hopes of finding some good entertainment in The Flu Season--well yeah, it's that, but so much more. What a surprise and delight it was to find this level of truth- telling so superbly executed, Will Eno's illuminating writing, Todd Sible's haunting winter set, and a cast that seemed tailor made for each part, never missing a beat. This isn't just entertainment, it's healing therapy---- it eloquently shares the complicated truth of being human, all the while managing to keep every moment entertaining. Hilarious! Bravo Will Eno & Circle X! Skip your therapy appointment and buy a ticket to this play instead!

Quirky and beautiful at the same time. This show was something different, with the characters of Prologue and Epilogue interacting with the story. It was a rare evening at the theater well spent!

I cant remember the last time I went to the theatre and enjoyed something so thoroughly. Every aspect of this production is top notch. The direction is crisp and clever, the production elements exist in wonderful harmony with the superb cast. Jamey Hood as Woman is exquisite. Heartbreaking, funny, simply transcendent. Tim Wright as Man is the perfect expression of a conflicted, complicated human being whose actions represent the duality of human nature. Incredibly thought provoking, funny and touching, this is one not to be missed.

This was a really interesting, fun show. Excellent acting, and it actually snows on stage! I really liked it.

just saw it this evening and couldn't have been more impressed and happy that I actually listened to reviews and went to go see it. It was alittle over my head at certain points but I enjoyed it regardeless. Funny as hell and a bit sad too. Definitely something that left an impression on me. so thank you!

I don't like to go to theatre in LA but my friend dragged me. I was prepared to be bored out of my mind cause I usually am. I was so surprised. I haven't cried or laughed like that for so long. I get so used to getting my entertainment from TV and Movies that I just didn't realize what's out there in the world. I haven't stopped thinking about the show. I keep googling it to see the reviews. I'm so glad this site exists so I can say to all of you who do like theatre that you need to run to this show. You will be floored by the journey.

A beautiful production with a talented cast brings to life this tale of the intricacies and simplicities of life, love and theater; it’s definitely worth seeing. Will Eno's script is smart and witty and Jonathan Westerberg's direction matches.

Will Eno's play of love and loss with the real backdrop of the consideration of the playwright and conventions of the theatre as a whole could have easily wreaked havoc but with the astute translation and direction by director Jonathan Westerberg it works, and enjoyably so. The entire cast is (again) spot on and I have never laughed (intentionally) as much at a staged production. Mike McColl (as prologue) can appear on stage, raise an eyebrow and elicit the most raucous laughter I have ever heard (without a word). The play is definitely post modern, takes you in and takes you out, but the hauntingly simple music composition by Timothy Labor leaves you exactly where you should be. A complicated jem, heady and esoteric. This production isn't tailored to the simple minded but the introspective but then again...aren't they the only people attending the theatre anyway?
