My apologies - I contacted the ABT and Ms. Armstrong corrected me - the dying swan solo to which I was referring was not actually part of Swan Lake - which I'm sure most of you know. The entire performance was indeed enchanting.

A magical evening BUT why in the world would they CHANGE THE ENDING -- NO DYING SWAN????? ONLY THE MOST MEMORABLE PART OF THIS - AND PERHAPS ANY - BALLET EVER. I just don't get it. Totally unacceptable. I saw Maria Tallchief perform this some 50 yrs ago and it is still fresh in my mind.The young girls in the audience were cheated and we were all robbed. I hope they reconsider and put it back in. Seriously.
